Autumn Tag

Hi! Today I thought I'd do the Autumn Tag, which I have seen on a few blogs now. Autumn is by far my favourite season, so I HAD to do this tag!

1. What is your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks?
I actually don't really like the Pumpkin Spice...shocker! My absolute favourite is the salted caramel hot chocolate, or the gingerbread hot chocolate. Sometimes they do these little candy cane cookies that I love as well!

2. Favourite Autumn accessory?
Boots, always boots.

3. What music do you like to listen to in the Autumn?
To be honest I pretty much listen to the same music all year round! Obviously Taylor (new album in two weeks..EEEEEP), Alex and Sierra, Ed Sheeran, Hunter Hayes, Carrie Underwood, Megan and Liz, Betsy Lane, Nina Nesbitt, Lucy Hale and The Vamps are some of my favourites. As you can probably tell from that extensive list...I love my music!

4. What is your favourite scent at this time of year?
Probably the seasonal body spray from Hollister or Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift.

5. Favourite candles for this time of year?
Christmas cookies and Christmas Memories by Yankee Candle - Christmas begins in October lets be honest!

6. What do you love most about Autumn?
SO MUCH. Dark nights, snuggling on the sofa with a book, hot water bottles, and everything about the build up to Christmas are a few of the things I love. Oh, I just thought of another...layering! I love layering clothes!

7. Favourite make up look?
Liquid eyeliner always makes an entrance in the colder months, and I'm definitely going to be brave and start wearing dark lip colours more.

8. What are you most looking forward to about the season?
The general cosyness of Autumn is something I look forward to every year. Seriously, who doesn't love piling blankets over themselves and spending days on the sofa?

What are your favourite things about Autumn? I tag anyone who reads this!

Zoella Beauty

Hey guys!
I made two purchases from the Zoella Beauty range (how crazy is it that she has a whole bucketload of products now!) and thought I'd show them to you, although you've probably seen them a hundred times already on other blogs.

The first item I bought was the teal coloured make up bag. I love the size of the bag, perfect for packing in your make up and taking on a weekend away. The bag is instantly recognisable as Zoe's, with the main design being her eyes, and her name in the corner of the bag. I think this is reasonably priced at £8, and is perfect for a birthday or Christmas gift. It doesn't have to be used for make up either, I think it would work really well as a pencil case, or a bag for all your hair slides and hair ties.

Secondly I bought the Fizz Bar. It is priced at £5, but lasts for several baths. I broke off two cubes for my bath, and there's eight in the bar, so you could easily get four baths from just one Fizz Bar. This would mean that each bath would cost around £1.25, which is cheaper than one of the small bath bombs at Lush (don't get me wrong, Lush is one of my great loves - I adore the 'So White' bath bomb for Christmas!) The scent is fresh, and although I'm rubbish at describing smells I think I could identify citrusy scents in the bar, don't quote me on that though!

It's so surreal to walk into Superdrug and see a whole stand dedicated to Zoe. I remember watching her videos well before everything really took off, and when I see these products I just feel so proud of everything she has achieved. Well done Zoe!

World Mental Health Day

Hi everyone! As some of you may know, today is World Mental Health Day. Zoella has just become an ambassador for MIND, a mental health charity, and they have come up with the fantastic idea of the little red button.

Basically, you wear a red button to show either that you yourself have anxiety or another mental illness, that you know someone who suffers, or that you are supporting anyone who may suffer. I think this a great way to break down the stigma against mental health, and show anyone who feels like they can't speak out about their issues, that there are always people there available to talk. The hashtag for this campaign is the #Don'tPanicButton.

Mental illness is a really big issue for many people in today's society. The problem is the stigma that surrounds it. Just the other day I heard someone say they didn't understand a person's struggle with a mental illness because "they seem to have everything they want." Having a mental illness isn't something that is chosen, it is something in your mind that you can't change (but you can train your mind to cope with it). We need to get everyone involved with campaigns like this, to change the common thoughts about mental illness and to be fully supportive of every single sufferer. Anxiety is something that I have struggled a lot with in the past, although fortunately I have learned to control it and feel much better about myself than I did this same time last year. Just because it isn't as big a part of my life as it was, doesn't mean that I don't still feel passionate about it. A mental illness can be very scary, especially when the people around you don't understand, and don't even try to make an effort to. Even if we don't fully know what is going on in another person's mind, it doesn't make it any less real, or any less of a problem. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and statistics show that a good proportion of deaths in the UK stem from mental illness. It isn't an issue that will go away if we ignore it, and we shouldn't treat any sufferer with disrespect. A problem is a problem, and it shouldn't matter whether it is a physical or mental one. We have a duty to respect and care for anyone who is struggling.

Please support this campaign and reach out to those who are struggling to cope with something that they can't even understand themselves. Sometimes the little things are the best ways to show that you care.

5 tips that I use when I am feeling anxious:
1. Distance yourself from the situation, and find a quiet place to calm your breathing.
2. Read. Anything.
3. Make a list of everything that makes you happy.
4. Focus on your surroundings, and not what is going on inside your head (focus on colours, sounds etc)
5. Remember, this feeling will NOT last forever.

Top 5: Nail Polishes

Hi! Today I thought I'd do a Top 5 product post, with the focus on nail polishes. I don't wear nail polish often (mainly because my nails are atrocious) but for some reason I buy quite a lot of it, so I do have some favourites.

1. NYC Quick Dry Nail Polish in the colour 'Chelsea'. I love red nail polish a lot (probably because of Taylor's album), and this shade has a hint of glitter in it which I really like. It also dries super quick, so is handy if you're painting your nails in a rush. I was bought this for a gift, so I'm not sure of the price, but I think that it's probably pretty reasonable.

2. Technic Nail Varnish in 'Isla Bonita'. This is just a glittery nail polish that I tend to paint over other colours to give them a bit of the wow factor! I love how the sparkles are multi-coloured, and how the individual pieces of glitter are different shapes - it gives a really nice effect to the nails! This was only £2.50, so considering the price I'm really happy with the results.

3. Barry M Nail Paint in 'Blue Moon'. This is a beautiful pastel blue colour that I wear in the spring time. Pastel blue is one of my favourite colours, and I love the Barry M Nail Paints, so this is always a winning combination!

4. W7 Nail Polish in 'White' (no bonus points for this name though). I've seen white nail polish on lots of people lately, and I love the way it looks so I bought my own! I've tried it a couple of times and I like how classy my nails look when they have this on them, and the polish doesn't chip very easily, which surprises me because the polish only cost £2.50.

5. B.Complete Long Lasting Nail Polish in 'Treasure Chest'. This one I got in a Glossybox a few months ago, and I absolutely adore this colour! It goes with almost every outfit, and is a light bronze colour with extra sparkle (which you should be getting by now that I love) and it lasts a good week before it starts to peel off. I'm not too sure of the price because it came in a monthly box, but the products they send are usually more upmarket, so I would imagine that it was a bit more expensive than the others.

September Favourites

Hi everyone!
It's officially October, and you know what that means....September favourites time! It also means Autumn which is super exciting, as Autumn and Winter are my favourite seasons.

My first favourite this month is the 'Cupcake' face mask by Lush. Me and my sister were having one of those days when everything feels like it's going wrong, and we stopped by Lush to get some stuff for a girlie night in to try and cheer us up. We chose this chocolate face mask aimed at teenage skin, and it was so fun to use! It really made us laugh seeing each other covered in chocolate, and we ended up having a really nice evening, so I had to put this in the favourites. My skin felt a lot softer after, and I noticed a difference in my skin the next morning. Recommend this one!

Next I've been loving the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I use it to take off my make up before I wash my face, and it leaves my skin feeling extremely refreshed. It takes off eye makeup easily, and is gentle enough that if you do get a tiny bit in your eyes, it doesn't hurt too badly. I saw this in Jordan's (http://keepdreaming-13.blogspot.ie) favourites last month, and I'm so glad I decided to try it!

I've never been big on eyelash curlers, purely because I can't normally be bothered using them. In September I used this pink leopard print one from Forever21, and I love the way it gives my eyelashes more definition. Also, if my makeup is quite natural (as it usually is) it gives my eyes a slightly more dramatic look, which I think is great. If you've never really looked into an eyelash curler before, I would suggest that you give one a go - this one was only £2.99 or something like that, so it's not a huge investment.

Since going back to college, I have liked using these shine absorber sheets by Kleenex. Whenever I get a free moment I pop to the bathroom and use one of these to take some of the oil out of my skin, to give it a matte look. I like these because it means you don't have to keep applying translucent powder, you can just quickly use one of the sheets and be good to go.

I'm a big fan of the instant mocha, so when I tried this 'Double Choca Mocha' by Nescafe I knew it wouldn't let me down...and it really didn't! I don't have much to say about this other than...oh my mocha-ery goodness. Tip: sprinkle a little bit of cocoa powder on the top, and then a little bit of sugar - it tastes amazing!

I got these combat boots a few years ago from New Look, and I've never really had the courage to wear them until this month. Autumn and boot weather is approaching fast, so I have literally worn these every day! They go with a lot of outfits, but I like to pair them with a skirt and tights, or to spice up a pair of leggings. A pair of boots is a must have for the colder months, and I am really looking forward to getting some more use out of this pair.

So they are my September favourites! I recommend every single one (although some items may not be still available) for you to try! What have been your favourite things in the month of September?

My Current TBR Pile

Hi!
As you may have gathered by now, my blog contains a whole mish mash of post themes! My blog post archive gives a little insight into what I have going on in my head, which is a collection of lots of random things. My post today is going to be my TBR (To Be Read) book pile - I won't say much about the books because I might end up doing reviews on some of them, but I promise you that all the books that I have read before by these authors (aside from Tease as I have never read anything from that author before) have been great.

1. The Infinite Sea - Rick Yancey.
This is the highly anticipated sequel to The Fifth Wave. The Fifth Wave is a sci-fi/apocalyptic book, with so many plot twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. It was a thrilling read and I can't wait to start the sequel, as the first book was left on a pretty big cliffhanger.

2. Heir Of Fire - Sarah J.Maas
I won't even try to summarise this epic fantasy series that I have fallen in love with. The characters are amazing, the plot is intense, and there is something for everyone in these books. I was lucky enough to meet Sarah J.Maas in the Summer and she is so lovely - it's hard to believe sometimes that her mind created such gory scenes! Heir of Fire is the third book in the series, and I am beyond happy to have it in my TBR pile.

3. Crash into You - Katie McGarry
This is the third book in a contemporary companion series, which is slightly more to the adult side of the young adult genre, with reference to drugs, sex and alcohol. I do love this series though, and enjoy seeing the characters and their relationships develop. I have high hopes for this book!

4. Burn for Burn - Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian
It's safe to say that Jenny Han is a contemporary queen. I don't know much about this series other than that its slightly similar to Pretty Little Liars (which happens to be one of my favourite TV shows!) Jenny Han has never let me down before, and one of my closest friends has told me that I need to read this book...and SOON.

5. Tease - Amanda Maciel
I am unbelievably excited for this last one. My favourite type of books are the ones that make you think, and that cover difficult topics that people are often scared to write about. Tease is about a bully after her victim commits suicide, and the way she has to live her life after the incident. I imagine that it will be very emotional at times, but I feel like everyone should read these types of books, to open their eyes to sad situations that go on everywhere, in every school, every day.

What books are you hoping to read?

Instax Mini

In the summer I made a purchase that I have been thinking about for AGES...a Fujifilm Instax Mini! I got the one in a pastel blue colour, and I wanted to wait a couple of months before I blogged about it so I would have time to properly get used to it.

Okay so this is what it looks like! It's pretty chunky but I've decided that I like the size of it, as it's small enough to fit in my hand but big enough so you're able to see how pretty it is. The photos that print from it are quite small (see the next photo), but that just means that you can fit more of them wherever you decide to display them. It's really easy to use once you've got the basics down (adjusting the settings, inserting film etc) - even my parents can manage it! I bought the bundle that comes with 20 shots from Amazon, which is now £69.99 but was a bit cheaper when I bought it.

I've gotten into the habit of taking photos and storing them on my hard drive, never to be seen again, so to have actual photo prints is such a novelty to me now and I wouldn't go back ever again. Obviously I still use my other camera, but I take my instax to most events and take one or two photos that I can stick on my wardrobe doors. The display of photos has become a part of my room that I get the most comments on, and anyone that I have over immediately goes over to look at the photos.

I can't believe I waited so long to get one of these cameras, but I'm really glad that I did. The photos give lasting memories, and the excitement of waiting for the photo to appear is something that I never tire of. I would recommend getting one of these if you've been thinking about it for a while, because it's a unique kind of camera and I wish that polaroid had never gone out of style.

A Little Treat

Hi everybody, happy Saturday!
Today I have time to blog, which makes me so very, very excited!
I was in Waitrose today with my Mum and I picked up some really yummy treats, so I thought I'd share them with you (well, virtually share them.)

If you've ever watched Zoella's vlogs then you might have heard her talk about these pots before. Every time I see her talk about them I want to try them, so today I picked one up. It's a chilled chocolate orange dessert, contained in a coral ceramic pot that you can reuse (I think this would make a great earring-holder!)

The second item is the most exciting, and the one I seriously can't wait to eat. One of my favourite foods is macarons, but because hardly anywhere sells them, and when they do they're usually super expensive, when I see them I absolutely have to get them! These ones are strawberry, and I'm actually eating one as I write this. If you've never tried macarons, please do - the passionfruit ones are AMAZING.

This was a slightly strange post, but I really wanted to write it, so I did! See you soon!

Updates and Feeling Overwhelmed

Hola!
I realise that I haven't posted in over a week, and I was just sitting in bed worrying about it when I decided that the best thing to do would just be to tell you why.
School has really overwhelmed me in the first week that I've been back. The copious amounts of homework, coupled with the major stresses of being back in a place where I always feel anxious has taken its toll on me, and I'm still trying to adjust to the feeling of always having work to do. Blogging and writing my book are two things that I love, and that have fallen by the wayside in the past couple of weeks. I told myself I wasn't going to let myself get stressed out by my blog, and so I'm simply not going to allow myself to. I have ideas for posts, and when I finally get time, I promise I will post them! I'm just stuck in a world of essays and assignments right now, and I hope that one day I might find my way out!

Anyway, I hope you are all having a fabulous week, and are taking time to relax every now and then. For me, this means writing this quick update post and then settling down with my new book and a mug of hot chocolate (autumn is coming, I can feel it!)

Stila Lip Glazes Review

Hi!
After months and months of seeing Stila Lip Glazes all over the internet, last winter I purchased a few. I waited to order the winter shades, because I tend to wear more lip colour in the winter, whilst in the summer I usually just wear moisturising lip balm and chapstick.

I own Lip Glazes in the shades Jingle, Black Cherry, Sugar Plum, Splendour, Jack Frost, Holly, Jolly, and Joy. My favourite shades are Sugar Plum and Jolly.
The Lip Glazes are a weird product in my opinion, and I can't quite decide if I really like them. I do like how each colour comes through as it looks in the tube, instead of being completely colourless when put on the lips (like a lot of lip products). You twist the bottom of the plastic tube to push the lip gloss onto the brush, which you then use to apply the gloss onto your lips. I like this technique of dispersing the gloss, because you never accidentally get too much lipgloss out, which is a nightmare when it happens with other lip products.

The downside to these lip glosses is how sticky they are. This is the reason I choose not to wear them a lot of the time. Most lip glosses are relatively sticky I know, but this is extreme. You can't really wear your hair down when wearing the gloss, because your hair just sticks to your lips like crazy. For me, having overly sticky lips isn't something I enjoy, and so this aspect of the Lip Glazes is quite a problem.

Since these products are quite pricey, I wouldn't suggest buying lots at once (even though I did get these in a set) as they aren't something I feel everyone would enjoy. I love some of Stila's other products, like the Smudge Pots, but these lip glosses just aren't really for me.

First Day OOTD

Hey guys!
I thought I'd show you what I wore for the first day of college. I chose to wear a pair of dark blue high waisted skinny jeans from New Look, and a maroon (I know it looks more red on the photo, but I promise it looks different in real life!) polka dot top, which is also from New Look. It was pretty warm out, so I didn't need a jacket, but on my feet I wore black converse sneakers, and I wore my Accessorise school bagpack - there's a photo of my bag on my back to school outfit blogpost which you can view here. I just wore my hair in a half-up half-down style, and did my make up quite natural.
Thankfully, my first day back went quite well! If you went back to school recently, how did it go?

Back-To-School Outfit Ideas!

Welcome to my Back-To-School outfit blogpost!
This year I am starting college, and in my previous school years I've had a uniform, so being allowed to wear whatever I want (within reason) is a new and slightly scary prospect. I've put together five outfits for this post, which will show you what I plan to wear for school.

So for Monday's outfit I've picked out my pair of Levi jeans, a white lace tank top (H&M), and a baby pink hooded sweatshirt. The sweatshirt is from Lucy Hale's new collection at Hollister, and is super soft. On a Monday morning I'm not usually all that chipper, so wearing this sweatshirt gives an outfit that is comfortable, yet still has style.

Tuesday's outfit is a bit more put together, with a patterned blouse (New Look) and my Crimson coloured skirt from Brandy Melville. If it was cold outside, I would wear a pair of tights and be good to go.

Wednesday is my least favourite day of the week, because it means you are only halfway to the weekend. My cropped jumper (again from the Lucy Hale Collection) says "C'est La Vie", which I believe means 'That's life' - so the jumper suits this day of the week perfectly! I'm also wearing my Levi jeans.

For Thursday I decided on an outfit that was comfortable, because every week needs a comfy outfit. I'm a walking H&M advertisement, as both my leggings and my T-Shirt are from H&M. Usually I don't wear leggings, but this T-Shirt is oversized so I like the way this outfit looks.

FRIDAY! At last we have reached the end of the school week, so for this day I chose a slightly more party-ish outfit. My floral waterfall style top is from Forever 21, and again I'm wearing a pair of jeans. As you can see, I love my jeans! I think that since I live in England, the weather would warrant me to wear a cable knit cardigan over this outfit.

My school bag is from Accessorise, and is a navy blue leather style backpack with brown straps and zippers.
Thankyou for reading, and bring on the school year!

My Current Shoe Wishlist

Today I will be showing you some shoes that I would love to have in my closet!

1. The first pair of shoes is a pair of  black Chelsea Ankle Boots from Next, costing £60. I love ankle boots in the autumn, especially when paired with a shorter pair of jeans. You can buy these shoes here.
2. The second pair of shoes on my wishlist is a pair of creepers from an online shop called Oasap. They are designed to look like cats, and since I love cats, I have obviously fallen in love with these shoes. I don't own a pair of creepers, but this pair is one I have been eyeing for a good while (ever since I saw CutiePieMarzia from youtube haul them!) They are £30.03 and you can buy them here.

3. I LOVE this pair of rose coloured Vans. I wear sneakers almost every day for comfort, so I love to find new designs and colours. These shoes cost £47 and you can buy them here.

4. This is a new pair of Taylor Swift Keds, titled 'Sneaky Cat'. The shoes are set for release in October, to accompany her new album, and feature the date of Taylor's birthday on the heel, as well as a cat on the side of the shoe. At the moment these are only shown on the US website for $55, but I'm hoping that they will become available in the UK as well. You can view them here.

5. My final pair of wishlist shoes is the most expensive pair on the list, and one that has been on my wishlist for years and years. As a lover of country music, I am desperate to get my hands on a pair of authentic cowboy boots. This pair from R.Soles is my favourite at the moment, but in truth I would most like to purchase a pair from Nashville, as I plan to take a trip there someday. This pair is £295 and is a classic brown cowboy boot. You can buy them here.

So that's my shoe wishlist! What shoes do you wish would land on your doorstep?

An OOTD and an Attempt at a New Hairstyle

I know I know I know, three posts in under 24 hours...I had some free time! Even though it's still my summer break, I have been super busy lately and it's nice to get a time gap sometimes where I can just relax and write some blogposts. I thought that today I would do an 'Outfit Of The Day', simply because I was already planning on doing a post about a new hairstyle I've been trying out.

I have no idea why I decided to do this with my hair today, other than it wasn't as frizzy as usual and I thought I would try something different that didn't use heat. My hair has a natural curl/wave to it, and today I pinned it all up just above the nape of my neck (I had to search the anatomy of the head on google to get a term for that, how fancy) with some bobby pins. Before that, I added a little braid to the left side of my head, so the braid carries on all the way down to the back of my head. Yes, it does look a little messy, but I think that I kind of like it that way, especially considering that this is a first try!

My outfit today is a white shirt from River Island. I'm not sure if they sell it anymore, because I got it last year, but it's pretty much just your standard white shirt. Over that I'm wearing a black and white cardigan that I bought from Forever 21, which is super comfy and something that I wear all the time. I'm also wearing a pair of Levi's Jeans, and a simple necklace. Fun fact about this necklace: I haven't taken it off in two years...AT ALL. It has absolutely no sentimental value to me, but over time it became a little game to see how long I could keep it on for (I play the best games, clearly.) Now people just assume the necklace has a story, and I've been asked about it quite a lot!

I hope you enjoyed this spontaneous blog post,
Emily xoxo

A Gift From Keds

Hola Bloggers!
Today I want to talk about a package I received in the mail a couple of days ago. A few weeks ago I messaged Keds to enquire about something from their Taylor Swift range. Keds is a shoe company similar to the style of Converse and Vans, and makes good quality shoes with amazing designs. Over the past couple of years Taylor has teamed up with them to create a collection of shoes designed by her, and me and my sister have both bought pairs of these shoes. I had heard that Taylor Swift shoelaces were available, but I couldn't find where to purchase some, so I emailed Keds to ask about where I could find them. In response they told me that the shoelaces weren't available right now, but that they would like to send me a pair of shoes. Of course I was absolutely ecstatic, because these shoes can cost £20-£50, and I was getting a pair for free. The Taylor Swift shoebox pictured above arrived on my doorstep the other day, and to say I was excited would be a big understatement.

This is what the inside of the box looked like (there was also a kind note from Keds), with the pair of shoes, some Taylor Swift stickers, a Taylor guitar pick charm, and some Taylor tissue paper.

The shoes are Taylor's RED Keds, a red sneaker style shoe with the name of her album printed near to the heel. These shoes are so pretty, and extremely comfortable to wear! I have worn them multiple times already, and know that I will get a lot of use out of them. I still can't believe that Keds were kind enough to send me these, as they really didn't have to do anything like that. They are the perfect pair of shoes for a Swiftie!

I received about twenty of these really cute stickers, advertising the Red Tour (which I attended in February). I'm so happy to have received this package, and am still shocked that Keds did this for me. I am so so grateful to Keds, and would definitely recommend that you purchase a pair of these shoes because the quality of them is great. I know that I will definitely continue to purchase Keds, and especially now that I know what a generous company they are. THANKYOU KEDS!

Barcelona Haul

Hey!
So I'm back from Barcelona now, and I thought I would share with you the items I bought whilst I was away. Most of the items are clothing and beauty related, with a couple of random items thrown in there. Let's get started!

First of all, I visited an American store called Brandy Melville. Since there is only one in the UK (in London) I never get to go to the store, so finding one in Barcelona was hugely exciting and I just had to buy a couple of things. I bought a dark blue and white, tie dye style t-shirt, because lately I've been really into the idea of tie dye - I actually think I might try to make my own soon! This is probably my favourite purchase, purely because there are so many possibilities for this item.
I also bought a maroon skirt, made out of a velvety material. The skirt is SUPER comfy, and is something that I think I will get a lot of use out of. I'm starting college in September, and I feel like this outfit (the one pictured above) will be one I wear a lot.

I bought a couple of accessories from Brandy Melville as well, a tag necklace and two scrunchies. Recently, I've become a little obsessed with scrunchies. They are the perfect solution to high ponytail headaches! I love these ones because the patterns are so pretty (I'm wearing the blue and white one right now, as I'm writing this). The tag necklace was an impulse buy, I saw the necklace on a model in the store and knew that I had to have it! I paired the necklace with the tie dye t-shirt and I love the way that it dresses up the outfit.

From H&M, I bought a long sleeved men's shirt with the word 'Nashville' on it. When I first saw this in the window, I wasn't aware that it was from the men's section. Usually, this would put me off, but considering that taking a trip to Nashville is a big dream of mine, I just went for it. I'm not sure how I'm going to wear this exactly, probably with a pair of jeans or tucked into a plain black skirt.

Whilst I was away, my Covergirl mascara dried up (sob) so I had to run out and purchase one from the shopping centre next to my hotel. There were lots of brands that we have here in the UK, but I kind of wanted to try a brand I'd never heard of before - I'm not sure if this brand is Spanish, it might be! The mascara is the 'Seduction Codes' mascara by Astor, and it promises high volume and definition. I really like the packaging for this mascara, it is gold, and designed to look like a gift, with a little black bow around the edge. It doesn't clump eyelashes, which is great, and gives great volume, so it really does live up to its name.

I was extremely happy to see that they had Sephora in the city centre, because I loved that store when I went in America last year. I purchased the Sephora make up palette, which contains eye shadows (very pigmented, yay!) lip-glosses, blush, bronzer, and crème eyeliner. The palette was a good price considering everything that is inside, and the packaging is so cute and compact. I also bought two of their shower creams, in the scents 'Mango' and 'Chocolate', because I have a slight addiction to buying shower gels and creams. Chocolate is a scent that I wouldn't ordinarily choose for a shower cream, but I actually really love this one!

One thing I knew I wanted to buy before I went to Barcelona, was one of my favourite books in Spanish. I took Spanish in high school, and since I'm not carrying on with the subject, I thought that attempting to read in Spanish every now and then would keep me on my toes and stop all the vocab from slipping out of my mind. I chose 'Bajo La Misma Estrella' which is 'The Fault in Our Stars', because I love the book and know the story really well.

Lastly, when I visited the Picasso museum, I bought a bookmark (because who can ever have too many bookmarks?!) The museum was really interesting, and was probably one of my favourite parts of the trip. The bookmark has a copy of a Picasso piece on it, one with sketches of cats. I don't know, I just love books and art and cats.

Hope you enjoyed this post! See you next post,

Emily xoxo
